Sylvia Spoon

Sylvia Rebecca Spoon, 54, of Brush Creek, passed away Saturday, September 25th, 2021. Born August 21, 1967 in Lebanon, TN, she was the daughter of the late Lewis Ray White and Edna Maureen Presley White. Sylvia was also preceded in death by a sister, Hilda Hobdy. A caregiver in both her personal and professional life, Sylvia loved her fur babies, Buddy, Little Bit and her two rescues, Ziva and Sophie. She loved to cook, can and garden which she learned from her husband’s grandmother Mrs. Trusty of 103 years and she mastered the art of spoiling her two grandchildren. She is survived by her husband of 16 years, Joseph P. Spoon, Jr.; daughter, Megan Ratliff; grandchildren Nathan and Jaylee; her siblings, Jeannie Kelley, Mary Baines (Don), Theresa (William), and Helen Peaches (Troy), extended family and many friends. Sylvia’s arrangements have been entrusted to Cole & Garrett Funeral Home, Goodlettsville, TN.
