Sandra Derseweh

Sandra Kay Derseweh, age 75 of Goodlettsville passed away at her home.

She was born on December 6, 1946, to the late George Samuel and Gladys Dickens Derseweh in Ridgetop, TN. Ms. Sandra was a graduate of Maplewood High School and a lifetime member of the Church of Christ. She attended Broadmoor Church of Christ for the last 31 years.

Ms. Sandra worked for 45 years in the claims department and payroll for American General. She loved spending time with her siblings, nieces and nephews. Memories of spending all day at Opryland were shared how she would plan the day activities, from shows they would watch to riding all the rides with her nieces and nephews. Ms. Sandra loved to cook and work with different flowers around the yard. Her family agreed she had the best mac and cheese around and they loved her homemade pie crust and homemade ice cream in the summer.

In addition to her parents, Ms. Sandra is preceded in death by her brother, David Derseweh and nephews, Vance Chumbley and Joe Derseweh.

Ms. Sandra is survived by her siblings, Edith Brown of Springfield, Linda Derseweh of Goodlettsville and Sam (Deborah) Derseweh of Greenbrier; nieces and nephews, Cory (Christy) Derseweh, Angie (Chad) Shelton, David (Joy) Derseweh, Cindy (Jimbo) Kerr and Lisa (Chris) Lowe; 11 great nieces and nephews; 1 great- great niece and one more on the way.

A life celebration will be held on Wednesday, September 7th at 2pm in the Chapel of Cole and Garrett Funeral Home in Goodlettsville with Minister Jeremy Sweets officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens with Chance Derseweh, Aaron Shelton, Reed Derseweh, Jace Derseweh, Dalton Kerr and Corbin Derseweh serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Will Kerr and Bentley Kinnaird.
