Levis Irene Rice Kizer passed away on Sept. 2, 2021. Levis was born September 8, 1929.

Preceded in death by parents, Edwin Leroy (Ed) Rice and Emma Irene Redding Rice, brother Edwin (Leroy) Rice;  husband,  Oscar Watson Kizer; son, Robert (Bobby) Kizer; daughter-in-law Wanda Kizer.

Survived by four children; Steve Kizer (Ruth), Paul Kizer (Sylvia), Levis (LeeAnn) Henshaw (Jim), and Danny Kizer; seven grandchildren- Kenneth Kizer (Donna), Clint Kizer(Vanessa), Katie Kizer(Alex), Brian Henshaw (Amy), Jim Kizer, Jeanette (Chad) Jones, Erica (Avery) Casey; and thirteen great grandchildren, Kristen Kizer, Drake Kizer, Josh Henshaw, Blake Spencer, Mia Kizer, Hannah Henshaw, Grace Casey, Aster Corley, Emma Casey, Eli Casey, Noah Casey, Clayton Jones, and Lilla Jones: many nieces and nephews.

Levis was a lifelong resident of Sumner County and was very involved in her community and church. She was a member of Shackle Island Church of Christ for 70 years. She was very proud of her heritage. The Rice family and Kizer family history of the Sumner County area was very important to her and she was a wealth of information for many.

Until the death of her husband in 1970 she was a homemaker and known for her hospitality and great food for many to enjoy. After her husband's death she was employed at Worsham's Grocery for many years. She thoroughly enjoyed meeting and visiting with customers in the community.

She was loved by her family and friends. She was always serving others and being a caregiver when needed to her family and church family.

Funeral will be at 3pm on Sunday September 5, 2021 at Cole and Garrett in Goodlettsville, TN. Minister Avery Casey will officiate.  Visitation will be from 12 Noon until service time.

Pallbearers will be Kenneth Kizer, Clint Kizer, Jim Kizer, Brian Henshaw, Josh Henshaw, John Rice.
