Joyce Cornelia Haywood Eidson, age 91 of White House, passed away on December 5, 2021 at her home.

She was born on November 6, 1930 to the late James Bernard and Ola Mae Haywood in Columbia, Tennessee. Mrs. Eidson was a graduate of Columbia High School and worked for many years at the Oscar Mayer Factory in Goodlettsville. She was a faithful member of White House First Baptist Church.

Mrs. Eidson enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great- grandchildren. She loved cooking for her family or for anyone that walked through her doors. She was famous for her coconut cream pie and chocolate meringue pie and enjoyed spending time gardening.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Eidson is preceded in death by her beloved husband, James Kenneth Eidson and siblings, Bernice Haywood, Jasper Haywood and Gerald Haywood.

She is survived by her children, Kenny (Mary) Eidson, Randy (Diane) Eidson, Denise (Mike) Huffman, Diane (Larry) Irwin, Donna (Kenny) Brooks and Kevin (Brooke) Eidson; grandchildren, Jennifer (Andy) Dedmon, Kelly (David) Vance, Steven (Tiffany) Brooks, Staci (Josh) Stoesz, Daniel (Maria) Brooks, Matthew Brooks, John Michael Huffman, Josh Huffman, Kristen Huffman, Brennan Eidson, Graham Eidson, Thomas (Andriy) Adams, Tim Adams and Melanie (Michael) Capps; great-grandchildren, Jaidyn Ortega, Rianna Stoesz, Rylee Brooks, Madilyn Brooks, Kaydence Brooks, Mason Brooks, Will Dedmon, Laina Dedmon, Arlo Vance, Everett Vance and Annabeth Capps and siblings, Oscar Haywood, Dorris (Peggy) Haywood and Sue Meeker.

A Life Celebration will be held on Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at 1pm with Pastor Ashley Mofield officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery with Mrs. Eidson’s grandsons serving as pallbearers and her granddaughters as honorary pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 5-8pm then again on Wednesday from 11am until the time of service at the funeral home.
