James Ralph Jr.

James “Tyree” Ralph Jr passed away on April 11, 2023, at age 39 surrounded by family. He was born May 3, 1983, in Waverly, TN. He is survived by his mother Wei Ralph, sister Hester, brother Allen, and half-sisters Janet Carper and Liz Bondurant. He is also survived by his loving caretaker of over 8 years, Rosie Garrison. He was preceded by his father James T. Ralph Sr, granduncle and lifetime caretaker Wen You Zhou, half-sister Brenda Ralph, and nephew Trevor Douglas. Severely disabled at birth, he brought joy and light to those around him. His sunny disposition despite his inability to walk or talk serves as an inspiration to all. He is no longer suffering, and in death he is able to do all that his disability prevented. He is swimming, speaking, and playing with balloons in Heaven, reunited with his father and granduncle. He will always be remembered for his resilience, innocence, and humor. A graveside memorial will be held at 1pm on Friday, April 21 at Beech Church Cemetery and a life celebration at the family home after.
