Harvey David “Bug” Boatman, 61, passed away Sunday November 21, 2021. Born in Nashville, December 24, 1959, David was the son of the late John Amos Boatman and Ethel Mai Hughes Boatman. He was devoted to his family, especially his grandbabies. David was a hardworking and independent individual that owned and operated his own excavating company, Boatman Construction and Wrecking. He took pride in all of his accomplishments and the establishment of his company. He loved the outdoors and his animals. He also loved old hot rods and enjoyed restoring old Chevy Chevelles. Among his other interests was a passion for collecting. If it was an object that interested him or was somewhat unusual, he would collect it.

David is survived by his daughters, Taylor Miller and Racheal Flynn, and his son Brandon Flynn; and 10 grandchildren, Zoey, Mya, Cameron, Aubreigh, Noah, Zane, Brooklyn, Layla, Knox, and Jayce. A celebration of life service will be held at Cole & Garrett Goodlettsville Chapel, Sunday December 5th at 2pm. An hour of visitation will precede the service from 1-2pm.
