Virginia Hammond

Virginia Ruth Hammond, age 80 of Nashville, passed away February 19, 2019. She was born on July 31, 1938 to the late Henry Hayden and Florence Edna Reasoner. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Jim Hammond; sisters, Katherine Wherry, Geraldine Hutson; brothers, Eugene Reasoner, Thomas Reasoner, Walter Reasoner, and Howard Reasoner. Survived by her sisters, Martha Johnson, Edna Blankenship, Prissy Reasoner and Anette Harding, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family. Virginia was known by her family being the "record keeper" as she had documented all the important dates and moments in her large family. She inherited her mother's art of cooking, and will be remembered for all her wonderful meals. Visitation will be on Sunday February 24 from 2 until 6 pm at Cole & Garrett Funeral Home in Goodlettsville.
