Vesta Williams

Vesta June Van Houten Merrick Williams, age 70 of Hendersonville, went peacefully to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 27, 2010. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She was a proud member of the I. A. M. local # 735. She was preceded in death by her parents and several loving brothers and sisters. She is survived by her son, Mark Merrick; daughters, Theresa Merrick Ray Alegria and Stacey Williams Chad Mize; grandchildren, Josh, Zack and Jacob Alegria, Cohen and Graisyn June Mize; brothers, Roger Katherine and Wilbur Eva Van Houten; sisters, Teddy Hoffman, Marilyn Lanning, Lucy Danny Sheets and Margie Gary West; and countless nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 10 AM – 12 PM, 2 – 4 PM and 6 – 8 PM on Thursday, April 1 and from 10 A.M. until service time at 11 A.M. on Friday, April 2 at Hendersonville Funeral Home. Services will be conducted by Rev. Courtney Wilson. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Interment will be in Hendersonville Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions should be made to the American Lung Association. Arrangements entrusted to Hendersonville Funeral Home.
