Vernon Lee "Sonny" Deaton, Sr., age 69 of Gallatin, passed away April 18, 2011. Mr. Deaton was preceded in death by his parents, Lilburn and Elizabeth Deaton; and grandson, Jacob Deaton. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Euna Deaton; son, Vernon "Sonny" Deaton, Jr. Janet; daughter, Valerie Deaton Cushen Shawn; son, Victor Deaton Sharida; sisters, Ruth, Pearl and Jean; grandchildren, Jimmy Deaton, Jesse Deaton, Mary-Molly Storey, Annie Elizabeth Storey, Josie Deaton, and great-grandchild, Jaiden Deaton. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 20th from 5-8 p.m. and on Thursday, April 21st from 10-11 a.m. at Crestview Funeral Home. A life celebration service will be conducted on Thursday, April 21st at 11:00 a.m. at Crestview Funeral Home with David Filson officiating.
