Tommy Sutton

Tommy Sutton, a cherished husband, father, stepfather, grandfather, and friend, passed away on March 4, 2025, at the age of 85. Born on October 27, 1939, Tommy spent his life dedicated to both his family and his work, which included a remarkable career at DuPont that spanned over 33 years before his well-deserved retirement.

Throughout his life, Tommy found great joy in a variety of pastimes. He was an avid golfer, often relishing the gentle challenge of the course, and enjoyed the simple pleasure of riding his John Deere tractor and riding mower around his property. Tommy also shared a love of travel with his beloved wife, Belinda. Together for 37 wonderful years, they explored new places and created countless memories.

Tommy is survived by his devoted wife, Belinda Sutton, along with his children, Melanie Ferguson (Tommy) and Tommy Sutton, Jr. (Janet). He also leaves behind stepchildren Belinda and Kevin, as well as nine grandchildren. He is also survived by his extended family.

In reflecting on his legacy, we remember Tommy not only for his professional accomplishments but also for the love he shared with family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Garland Sutton and Sarah Sutton Hutchinson, and three brothers.
