Tommy Ayers

Tommy Louis Ayers, age 90, passed away February 6, 2021. He was born in Goodlettsville, TN on January 22, 1931 to the late William Thomas and Louise Frances Adams Ayers. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Jane Pewitt Ayers; daughters; Earline Woodard, Brenda DeVault, and grandson, Jeff Woodard. He was survived by his wife of 32 years, Sue Ayers; children, Deborah Gore, Trent (Tracy) DeVault, Timmy (Mary) DeVault, Sherry DeVault, Terry (Bobby) Todd, Bryan (Jolene) DeVault; thirteen grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. Tommy was a veteran of the US Army and served in the Korean War. He worked for many years as a driver for Consolidated Freight. He and Sue were long time members of Goodlettsville Pentecostal Church, and recently attended Centerpointe Apostolic Church after they moved to Murfreesboro to be closer to their family. Celebration of Life will be at 12 Noon Thursday February 11 at Cole & Garrett Funeral Home, Goodlettsville with visitation from 10 am until service time. Bro Tim Zuniga and Bro Dan Russell will be officiating. Interment will follow at White Cemetery in Goodlettsville. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the building fund at either Goodlettsville U.P.C or Centerpointe Apostolic Church.
