Thomas Carta

Machinist Mate Third Class Thomas Christopher Carta of Hendersonville passed away Friday, January 27, 2006 at the age of 20 while on active duty with the US Navy in Guam. Preceded in death by his step-father; Jerry Lee Woods. He is survived by his mother; Daphne Woods, sister; Christal Carta, maternal grandparents; Ron and Olva Dowda, paternal grandparents; Jerry and Cheryl Woods, aunts and uncles; Shaen and Angela Phillips, Jay and Wendy Hogue, Jay and Lisa Michaels, Brian and Julie Woods and Scott Carr and several cousins. Visitation will be from 2pm til 4pm and 6pm til 8pm Sunday, February 5, 2006 at Hendersonville Funeral Home. Services will be conducted 10am Monday, February 6, at Hendersonville Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Hendersonville Memory Gardens with full Military Honors. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the National Military Family Association, 2500 North Van Dorn Street Suite 102, Alexandria, VA 22303-1601.
