Sue Ann Potts, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister passed away on Monday, July 1, 2024, in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Born July 14, 1934, in Hendersonville, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Clyde Thomas Sprouse and Birdie Alma Garrett Sprouse.


Sue will always be remembered for her caring nature and wonderful cooking that was passed down from her mother and grandmother.


Beyond her culinary talents, Sue found joy in caring for her family. Her nurturing spirit and unwavering dedication made her the cornerstone of her family's life. She had a knack for creating beautiful porcelain dolls and sewing clothing for her children, leaving behind cherished memories that will be treasured for generations.  Her family finds comfort in knowing that Sue was a woman of strong Christian faith.  Her love and devotion for Jesus Christ leave them no doubt as to where she has gone on to.  


Sue is survived by her loving husband of 71 years, Bobby Potts; son Bobby Lee (Lisa) Potts, Jr.; daughters Sharon Lynn (Don) Fanning and Karen (Scott) Proctor; sister Carolyn Johnson; brother Tommy Sprouse; sister Anita Horton; grandchildren Chad (Sally) Potts, Katie (Tanner) Glenn, John Luke Proctor, Willow Elaine Proctor, Kaitlyn (Alex) Greenway; great-grandchildren Holden and Emma Glenn.


In addition to her parents, Sue was preceded in death by her sister Joyce Meadows.


Services to honor and remember Sue's life will be held at Cole & Garrett Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Goodlettsville on July 3, 2024. The visitation will begin at 11:00 AM followed by a graveside service at Beech Cumberland Presbyterian Cemetery in Hendersonville at 3:00 PM.


Cole & Garrett Funeral Home Goodlettsville has been entrusted with the final care of Mrs. Potts.
