Sheralyn Skelton Shelton, age 64 of Hendersonville. Born in Jacksonville, FL to the late Hanson Bland and Medora Sargent Skelton, Sr. on April 24, 1954. Passed away in Nashville, TN on December 29, 2018. She was also preceded in death by her grandparents, Rev. David B. (Louise) Sargent. Survived by her husband of 44 years, Kenneth L. Shelton; daughters, Kristen Medora Christopher, and Margaret Allison Shelton; grandson, John Hanson Christopher; siblings, Hanson Bland "Buddy" (Jeanne) Skelton, Jr., Marsha L. (Jeffrey) Mitchell, Barlow (Vicki Lynn) Skelton; brothers-in-law, James Rodney Shelton and Michael W. Shelton, and other extended family and many friends. Mrs. Shelton was a very loving and caring person. Her greatest joy in her working years was serving as a nurse in the burn unit at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. She had a dedicated relationship to the Lord, and attended Long Hollow Baptist Church with her family whenever possible.
Celebration of life will be at Cole & Garrett Funeral Home Goodlettsville Sunday January 6, 2019 at 3pm with visitation from 1pm until service time.
