Ronald Charles Stevens, a beloved father, stepfather, and community servant, was born on July 14, 1947, in Elgin, Illinois. He passed away on June 3, 2025, in Goodlettsville, Tennessee.
A dedicated individual, Ronald joined the Army after graduating from high school. Ronald's commitment to serving others did not end there. He went on to have a rewarding career as a police officer, dedicating himself to public safety and community service.
Ronald was a noble man at heart, known for his tough exterior that masked a warm and gentle soul. He had a passion for teaching, ensuring his children understood the lessons of life by involving them in his hobbies. Ronald's spirit of fatherhood extended beyond his immediate family. He embraced the role of a guide and mentor to all who sought his counsel.
The loss of Ronald is deeply felt by his loved ones. He leaves behind his children, Gina (Mike) Bestler, and Shallen (Kevin) Chitwood; his stepchildren, April McIlwain, Jay Knight, and Michelle (Chris) Passman. He also leaves behind his many grandchildren and great grandchildren, whom he loved dearly, as well as his sisters, Sandy and Wendy. He now joins his parents, Charles and Wilma Stevens, his late wife JoAnne Stevens, and his daughter Canice Stevens in eternal peace.
