Robert Read

READ, Robert, Jr. age 85, Nashville, January 5, 2011. He is survived by his wife, Jean Douglas Read; sons, David Tristie Read and Robert J. JulieRead III; grandchildren, Erin, Katie and Sara Read; sister, Doroth Read McGinnis; nephews, Ben and Scott McGinnis. He is a graduate of Cohn High School and attended Peabody College and University of Tennessee night school. Retired from Bell South after 37 ½ years of service. He served in WWII, Signal Corps and was a Staff Sgt. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Tennessee Telephone Pioneers, Communication Workers of America and American Legion Post 5. The funeral service will be at 2 pm, Friday, January 7, 2011 at West Harpeth Funeral Home with Rev. Ben McGinnis officiating. Interment at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Visitation, Thursday, 3-8 pm at WEST HARPETH FUNERAL HOME 6962 Charlotte Pk 615 352-9400
