Robert Barton

Robert B. Barton, age 74 of Hendersonville, passed away September 4, 2010. Mr. Barton served in the U.S. Army as a Military Police Officer; he was a guard at Ft. Myers and Arlington Cemetery in Virginia; he was in Cuba during the Bay of Pigs; served 3 tours in Vietnam and was a guard at the U.S. Embassy; he was also an avid golfer. He is survived by his sons, Robert McCreary and Scott McCreary; daughter, Vikki Peterman; 5 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren. Visitation with the family will be on Wednesday, September 8th from 4-8 P.M. at Hendersonville Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, September 9th at 11:00 A.M. from the Chapel of Hendersonville Funeral Home. Interment will follow at 1:00 P.M. in Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to: Hendersonville Memory Gardens and Funeral Home.
