Richard Kimbro

Richard P. Kimbro of Goodlettsville, TN, passed away peacefully at the age of 89 on Sunday, Oct. 16, 2022, with his daughter by his side.

He was born and raised in Dickson County, TN, retired from DuPont in Old Hickory, he was a lifelong guitar player. He enjoyed mowing his yard and growing a garden.  Mr. Kimbro was the last sibling of a family of eight, losing his last sister at 102 years of age in 2018.

He is survived by his daughter, Teresa Kimbro Culbreath, Goodlettsville, TN, his Granddaughter Kelsie Garrett (Jason) Springfield, TN, Maggie, and Dixie his beloved dogs. Several nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jo Kimbro, of whom they celebrated 64 years of marriage prior to her passing; in addition, Richard is preceded in death by his son Brent Shawn Kimbro, his parents, Ivan Franklin Kimbro and Margaret Ann Gunn.

Gathering of family and friends Wednesday, October 19, 2022, from 3:00-7:00pm and Thursday, October 20, 2022, 12:00-1:00pm at Cole and Garrett Funeral Home. Celebration of Life at 1:00 led by Rev. Chris Seifert and Sarah McWhirt-Toler.
