Nettie Ann Wright December 26, 1934 to July 14, 2023

Our dear mother, Nettie Ann Wright, died peacefully in Tennessee on July 14, 2023. The daughter of Hans and Annabelle Sommerfeld, she was born December 26, 1934 in Broward Hospital, Fort Lauderdale, FL into a family of 4 girls, Margaret, Nettie, Eula, and Gretchen. Although the sisters moved to different areas of the country, they stayed close and provided each other a unique style of moral support.

Nettie Ann Sommerfeld graduated from Ft. Lauderdale High School, and soon after married Ward C. Wright Jr. upon his return from the Army.  They bought their first house in Ft. Lauderdale where they spent most of their life while raising their family.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years.

Nettie’s careers included professions in modeling,  tennis, and Real Estate but her heart and life devotion was her family.  She never met a stranger and was always willing to help in any way she could to anyone. She was a mother like no other, instilling independence and freedom in her children while maintaining guidance and love in all things. She always showed up the minute a need arose.   Her children mattered more than travel, stuff, or other self indulgences. She found a way to pay for all four children to attend Catholic school which was her  priority.  Family was forever!

Rest in peace dear Mother, you will be missed and loved forever.
