Myrtle Aline Speakman, age 90 of Goodlettsville, passed away peacefully at home February 4, 2020 with her children by her side. Born in Portland, TN, she was the daughter of the late Harvey Lee and Audrey Pauline (Nelson) Wheeler. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 58 years, Donald Speakman. She was also preceded in death by older sister Lois Marie Shannon and younger sister Mary Elizabeth Reasonover. She is survived by son, Donnie Speakman, and daughter Susan Speakman. Myrtle was a beautiful loving wife, mother, sister, and friend. She attended New Hope Road Church of Christ where she was the oldest original member of almost 60 years. Her favorite pastime for 35 years was walking. She loved the outdoors, working in her flowers and collecting dolls. Visitation will be at Cole & Garrett Funeral Home, Goodlettsville Friday from 1-8 pm. Chapel service will be Saturday February 8 at 10 am with Brother Frank Matherley and Brother Melvin Kirkham, officiating. Interment to follow at Beech Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Benny Page, Tim Guinn, Randy Garrett, Brian Carrico, Jason Matherley, and Charles Reasonover.
