Miller L. Bloodworth, Sr., of White House, Tennessee, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, October 29, 2026. Born June 18, 1933, in Hendersonville, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Albert E. Bloodworth and Pearl Martin Bloodworth.
Mr. Bloodworth built a life marked by hard work, dedication, and a deep love for staying busy. He retired from the Ford Glass Plant after 35 years of service, a career that reflected his steady commitment and strong work ethic. Outside of his years at Ford, he loved farming in Westmoreland and White House, finding purpose and satisfaction in the work of the land.
He was not one to care for idle time. He especially enjoyed “piddlin’” in his work shed, always repairing or rebuilding something with his hands. That industrious spirit was a defining part of who he was. He also found great joy in his family, and his children and grandchildren kept him busy in the best ways. He loved his many nieces and nephews and will be remembered as a devoted son, a loyal brother, a loving husband, and a supportive father.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 60 years Geneva Everett Bloodworth; his daughter Linda Broadwell; and 6 siblings.
He is survived by his children, Richard (Rose) Freudenthal, Miller Bloodworth, Jr., Vicki (Joe) Sanders, and Donna Keith. He also leaves behind 13 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; and 6 great great grandchildren. Their lives carry forward the example of his strength, constancy, and care for family, and his memory will remain close to all who knew and loved him.
Visitation for Mr. Bloodworth will be held on November 5, from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Cole & Garrett Funeral Home & Cremation Services - Goodlettsville, 127 N Main St, Goodlettsville, Tennessee 37072. A funeral service will follow there at 2:00 p.m. Burial will take place at White House Memorial Gardens, 3639 US-31W, White House, Tennessee 37188. Pallbearers will be Daniel Gray, Dustin Ware, Robert Bloodworth, Pete Bloodworth, and Tim Hile, Sr.
