Mercer Shaw

Mercer Cole Shaw, III, 70, of Greenbrier passed away at his home Thursday, December 16, 2021. Born July 2, 1951 in Dumas, Texas, Mercer was the son of the late Mercer Cole Shaw, Jr. and Glenelle M. Crooks Shaw. He was also preceded in death by a daughter. Mercer was a hard working and “handy” individual. He had worked at Rod’s Tire Shop in Springfield, TN. Had also worked as a landscaper and also doing tree service and electrical work. Outgoing and friendly, he loved people and particularly loved his church and church family at Zion Chapel Assembly of God.  He was a long time member at his church and for many years served on the worship team playing the drums.  Among his survivors are his wife, Teresa Kendrick Shaw; and a son, Mercer C. Shaw, IV. A memorial service for Mercer will be at 6pm on Wednesday January 19, 2022 at Zion Chapel Assembly of God Church, 2848 New Hall Road in Greenbrier, TN.
