Maudie Ruth (Raymer) Jones, 85, passed away with her family by her side Thursday, June 20, 2019. Born, June 14, 1934 in Sumner County, TN she was the daughter of the late Willis Raymer and Annie Mai Stout. Maudie was also preceded in death by her husband, Thomas E. Jones; a brother, James Raymer; and her sisters, Marie Brown, Zettie Dunham, and Carrie Starnes. Maudie worked for 48 years at the former Werthan Bag Company of Nashville. She was a hard worker and was totally devoted to her family. She loved her son, daughter-in-law, and grandchildren who called her "Nana". On the first Saturday of each month she truly enjoyed going to the Goodwill Store and seeing what ½ off bargains they were offering. Maudie is survived by her son; Thomas (Penny) Jones; 3 grandchildren, Hunter, Olivia and Thomas, Jones Jr.; nieces, nephews and many friends. Visitation will be held Sunday from 2 - 6 PM and Monday from 11 AM - 12 noon at Cole & Garrett Funeral Home, White House. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Monday at noon followed by interment at Hillcrest Cemetery.
