Mr. Kos is survived by his wife of 63 years, Katherine Kos; daughter, Joan Sam Oldham; grandchildren, JeffKristy Oldham, Katie Jim Baker; great-grandchildren, Millie, Mary, Isabel, Zoe Oldham, Andrew and Macey Baker. A member of McFerrin Missionary Baptist Church and a Purple Heart recipient of WW II. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 pm, Wednesday, July 11, 2007 at McFerrin Missionary Baptist Church, 431 West Old Hickory Blvd, Madison, TN with Elder Johnny Carver officiating. Interment will follow in Hendersonville Memory Gardens. The Kos family will receive friends Tuesday, July 10, 2007 from 1 PM until 8 PM at Hendersonville Funeral Home and on Wednesday, from 1 PM until the time of service at the church. Honorary pallbearers are the McFerrin Mens Sunday School Class, William Oldham, Brad Earps, and nephews. Active Pallbearers are Ed Coon, Wayne Jones, John Siefert, Hugh Shoulders, Wilson Dillard, Doc Perrigo. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to McFerrin Building Fund or Cumberland Valley School of Gospel Music.
