Mary Sloan

Mary Elizabeth Sloan, 93, of Murfreesboro passed away Wednesday, June 3, 2020 at Community Care of Rutherford. Born January 16, 1927 in Goodlettsville, TN, the daughter of the late Carl E. Smith and Lena E. McCoin Smith. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles F. Sloan and a son, Glenn A. Sloan. Mary was a graduate of the former Goodlettsville High School. She worked in the produce department of Krogers Grocery Store, Hendersonville for many years. Mary is survived by her daughter-in-law, Linda Sloan; her grandchildren, Spencer Sloan and Chris Riggs; great-granddaughters, Anna Riggs and Ashlyn Riggs; and her sister, Maurine Rice. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Interment will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Goodlettsville, TN. Arrangements have been entrusted to Cole & Garrett Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Goodlettsville.
