Mark Lane McFarland, born on October 10, 1957, peacefully departed this life on August 18, 2025. A man in the world of carpentry, Mark devoted his entire career to this craft, showcasing his skills with a passion that left a lasting impact on those he worked alongside and the structures he helped create.
Mark was characterized by his outgoing nature; he genuinely never met a stranger. His warm spirit and friendly smile brought joy to many, creating connections that were often remembered fondly. People were drawn to his vivacious personality, and he had a unique ability to make anyone feel welcome and valued.
Passionate about the outdoors, Mark embraced nature with open arms. He enjoyed numerous activities such as arrowhead hunting, canoeing, and hunting, which allowed him to connect deeply with the environment around him. These hobbies not only highlighted his adventurous spirit but also enriched his life with experiences that he cherished.
Mark is survived by his beloved children, Jannelle McFarland and Braxton McFarland. He also leaves behind his siblings: Mike (Felicia) Hoffman, Doug Hoffman, Nancy Smith, Mary Allen, and Jo Ann Brown. A special friend with Luci Miller; and childhood friend, Steve Cravens.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Mary McFarland, and his brothers David Hoffman, Randy Keesling, and Timothy Keesling, whose memories will forever be cherished by Mark's family.
Mark Lane McFarland will be remembered for his unwavering kindness, his craftsmanship, and the love he shared with all who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy lives on through his children and the countless lives he touched.
