Margery Ruth Rawls Reasoner

It is with heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Margery Ruth Rawls Reasoner, at the age of 95.

Born of German, English and Irish descent on May 25, 1930, in Coopertown, TN to Ernest and Mae Rawls. She died September 9, 2025, near her home of the past 44 years in Tarpon Springs, FL surrounded by her family.

She dedicated her life to her family as a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her outside interests included researching family genealogy, swimming and playing canasta. She was a pillar of strength for her family. Her family and loved ones will forever carry her memory in their hearts.

Ruth is survived by her children: Bonnie Reasoner Mills(John), Linda Reasoner Lutton(Craig), Thomas Hayden Reasoner(Aimée), Katrina Reasoner Koscielniak(Dave), her grandchildren: Kimberly Mills Kuhn(Stephen), Rebecca Mills Stevens(John), John Mills, Lauren Lutton(Anthony Kennedy), Jeffrey Lutton(Lily), Catherine Lutton Espinosa(Mario), James Lutton(Elizabeth), Michael Dougherty(Kacey), Patrick Dougherty(Michelle), Thomas Reasoner, Emma Reasoner, Laura Koscielniak, David Koscielniak, and her great-grandchildren: Stephen and Gracie Kuhn, Hayden Stevens, Levin Lutton, Luna, Jane and Sebastian Espinosa, Zoe and Alex Lutton, Kinsley and Jordan Dougherty, Wyatt and Mason Dougherty.

Preceded in death by her beloved husband of 62 years, Thomas Hayden Reasoner (November 6, 2011), their daughter, Janet Marie Reasoner Dougherty (March 20, 2011), her parents Ernest Edgar Rawls (September 26, 1962), and Emma Mae Clinard Rawls (September 1, 1989), and her brothers Lucien, Austin, and Paul Rawls.

Services at Cole and Garrett Funeral Home, Goodlettsville, TN. Burial to follow at The Reasoner Family Cemetery, Goodlettsville.
