M. Taylor

TAYLOR, M. T. – Age 82 of Fairview passed away on September 21, 2011. Mr. Taylor was a friend to many from all walks of life, a good citizen who believed in the goodness of every man. He was a farmer, merchant, avid collector, world traveler, and the first Mayor of Fairview. He loved his family especially his grandchildren. He was a lifelong member of Fernvale Community Church. He and his store were fixtures in his community. Preceded in death by his parents, Maryland Thomas Taylor and Adele Smith Taylor; sisters, Irene Jones, Billie Joy Vestal and Peggy Jean Taylor; brother, Jimmy Taylor. Survived by his devoted wife of 61 years, Emma J. Taylor; children, Tom Taylor Andrewena and Marsha Taylor; grandchildren, Kathleen T. Jefferis Wade and Matthew Thomas Taylor. Funeral services will be held 11:00am Monday at Fernvale Community Church 7891 Fernvale Rd, Fairview, TN, 37062 with burial to follow at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens.
