THOMPSON, Lowell Brice, former Mayor and long-time resident of Fairview, TN passed away Nov 5, 2007 in Atlanta at age 85. Survived by Jean Thompson, devoted & loving wife of 58 years. WWII veteran & Platoon Sgt of the 84th infantry division, he bravely fought in the Battle of the Bulge. Awarded 3 bronze stars. Member of Fairview Church of Christ for over 50 years, where he served as Elder & Treasurer. Former columnist for the Review Appeal. Also survived by son, Danny R. Thompson of Knoxville & daughter, Deborah A. Howard of Atlanta; grandchildren, Julia Jones, Jennifer, Robert & Adam Thompson. Loved by so many, he will be greatly missed. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday at Fairview Church of Christ. Visitation 4-8 p.m. Thursday at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home and 11 a.m. until time of service on Friday at the Church.
