Lendell B. Huffines, ( Doc ) age 83 of Goodlettsville, TN passed away peacefully on December 14, 2020
at NHC Gallatin Rehab after overcoming pneumonia.

He is preceded in death by his parents Aubrey and Ruby Huffines. He is also preceded in death by his
wife of 37 years Frances I. Huffines. He is survived by daughter Vicki (Jimmy) Broadrick; grandsons Chad (Mina) Broadrick, and Cody Broadrick; great-grandson Levi Broadrick; brother Avery (the late Marie) Huffines, and niece Rebecca (Terry) Haney; Shirley Ralph and Barbara Hardin sisters in law; Irvin
Watkins brother-in-law and many loved nephews and nieces and cousins.

He was born on April 8, 1937 in the Wartrace community of Jackson county on his family farm and
raised there with his beloved parents and brother.

Lendell was drafted to the U.S. Army at age 23. He married the love of his life and left for
Washington State to serve, then gave birth to their daughter in 1962. He returned home and
went to work for Hitt Electric Company as an electrician, Goodlettsville, TN. He worked for 45
years with many contractors and friends including Batey Construction, Jon Wright, Phillips Builders and
many more that he always enjoyed working with. He believed in hard work and taking care of his family
and said, "he always loved what he did for a living and that was most important. "
He was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ and a member of Shackle Island Church of Christ,
Goodlettsville TN, for over 45 years. He always enjoyed working for the Lord with his friends,
family and the youth in many works in years past. He was a quiet, gentle man and great Christian
example.

He loved the outdoors and was an avid sportsman, especially fishing and hunting. He enjoyed many
hours of friendship and memorable trips with his friends and family which he still loved to recall.
He always said, our most precious blessing on earth is our family and he loved his dearly and will be
greatly missed.

A special thank you to his caregiver and friend for four years Janie Krulik, his Shackle Island friends,
and the Sis Group who always brightened his days with kindness.

Graveside service with family will be on Friday December 18 at 11:30 am at Draper Cemetery in Jackson
County, TN with military honors. Presided by Brother Ray Frizzell.
