Laura Jean Eyre

November 24, 1970 — July 10, 2025

Laura Jean Eyre, born on November 24, 1970, entered eternal rest on July 10, 2025. A beloved daughter, sister, and friend, Laura touched the lives of many during her time with us. She was a dedicated employee at Kroger in Goodlettsville, where she worked for over ten years, exemplifying a strong work ethic and a positive attitude that brought joy to her colleagues and customers alike.

Laura was a graduate of Katie Tyler High School in Houston, Texas, where she built the foundation of her bright and lively personality. She was known for her caring nature and her sincere appreciation for family, as well as her deep faith in Jesus, which guided her throughout her life.

In her free time, Laura found pleasure in baking and had a special love for animals, reflecting her warm and nurturing spirit. Her interests brought her happiness and fulfilled her desire to spread joy and kindness to those around her.

Laura leaves behind her loving parents, Richard and Deborah Trest; her cherished siblings, Matthew Benjamin Trest (Mary Kathleen), Kelly Claire Trest, and Jeremy John Trest (Melodye); and her beloved maternal grandmother, Barbara Anne Delpiere; and her best friend, Jen Moe. She is also survived by a host of uncles, aunts, and cousins who will remember her fondly.

Laura is preceded in death by her father, Dan Robert Smith; her maternal grandfather, David Leonard Delpiere; her paternal grandparents, Robert and Edith Smith; and her ex-husband, Scott Eyre. Each of these losses has left a mark on her family and friends, but they also serve as a reminder of the profound impact Laura had on those who knew her.

As we remember Laura Jean Eyre, we celebrate a life filled with kindness, gratitude, and joy. She will be dearly missed and forever cherished in our hearts.
