Larry P. Thacker, of White House, passed away at Hendersonville Hospital of Friday May 14, 2021.
He was born Larry Patrick in Pike County, Kentucky on December 25, 1946 to the late Thomas R. and Lula Thacker. Larry joined the U.S. Army from 1965 - 1966. He worked for many years as a service technician for Sears. After retirement he owned and operated Thackers Heating and Air. Larry was a member of Northridge Church in White House, where he was blessed with the opportunity to serve on the missions team.
In addition to his parents, Larry is preceded in death by siblings, Herbert Thacker, Phyllis Syck, Robert Thacker, and Marvin Thacker, and granddaughter Sidney Renee Edmonds.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Janet C. Thacker; children, Larry Brandon (Sadi) Thacker of White House, Verda Mae Thacker of Pikeville, KY, Margaret Diane (Wes) Edmonds of Shelbiana, KY; grandchildren, Larry Bryson Thacker, Easton James Sanders, Wesley Blake Edmonds, Carter Scott Edmonds; sister, Jewel Rowe, and was loved by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family and friends.
Visitation will be at Cole & Garrett Funeral Home White House Monday May 17 from 3-8 pm., and Tuesday May 18 from 1pm until service time at 2pm, with Pastor Derek Capello and Pastor Terry Exley, officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery with Military Honors.
