Laraine Sheppard

Laraine S. Sheppard, 75, passed away Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at her home. Born July 2, 1945 in Southport, England, the daughter of the late Lawrence T. Smith and Doreen Howard Smith. She came to the United States with her parents at the age of 1 settling in middle Tennessee. Laraine was retired from accounting and payroll having worked for the former Nashville Memorial Hospital and later HCA. She loved her work and small but close-knit group of friends. Laraine loved to go camping, having camped on several vacations with her husband of 55 years, Richard C. Sheppard. She is survived by her husband; her daughter, Sondra Gayle Sharp; two granddaughters, Danielle Owens and Delaney (Nick) Reeves; great-grandson, Kurt; and her sister, Marjorie (Ted) Barnhill. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Cole & Garrett Funeral Home of Goodlettsville.
