Judy Cole Satty, 68, passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on November 25, 2019. Born in Madison, TN Judy was the daughter of the late James E. Cole and Dorothy Hagewood Cole. She was also preceded in death by her grandparents Myrtle and Tom Hagewood. She enjoyed a rewarding banking career that began in 1972 at the Bank of Hendersonville and retired in 2004 as assistant vice president from GreenBank. Judy was an avid University of Tennessee sport fan. This was something she enjoyed sharing with her husband Billy. Together they would faithfully travel near and far to not miss a UT game as season ticket holders for many years. She also enjoyed reading, movies and travel. Most of all Judy enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her nieces and nephews. Judy was an extremely kind individual, known for her generosity and also putting the needs of others before her own. She served on the board of Hendersonville Samaritan Center and Rock Castle. She was also a former member of Rivergate Church of Christ. Her passing came at the end of a lengthy battle with Lymphangioleiomyomatosis. She bravely fought the disease for more than 22 years. Judy is survived by her husband of 47 years, William "Billy" Satty; her sisters, Carol (Jimmy) Southall and Marsha (Allen) Garrett; her brother, Jim Cole, M.D. (Greg McCoy); and several nieces, nephews and friends. A graveside service at Forest Lawn Mausoleum will be held Thursday, December 5, 2019 at 12 noon. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to thelamfoundation.org
