AKIN, Joseph Wilse, Birmingham, AL, died February 9 at age 67. He is survived by wife, Rev. Mary Anne Akin and brother, Bill Akin Carolyn of Memphis. He was a graduate of the University of Memphis B.A. and the University of Nebraska M.A.. He was a cinematographer with Mississippi Public Television. As an independent filmmaker for National Geographic, his science films won international awards. Funeral services will be held Thursday Feb. 14 at St. David's Episcopal Church, Nashville, TN 11am.
