Johnny Walter Hagewood, born on January 7, 1948, was a dedicated electrician whose career spanned over 40 years with Hitt Electric. He served honorably in the United States Army, demonstrating a commitment to service that mirrored his approach to life. Johnny passed away on September 29, 2025, leaving behind cherished memories and a profound impact on those who knew him.

Known for his funny, quiet, and laid-back personality, Johnny was a sweet and soft-spoken individual who radiated calmness. He valued his privacy but was always present for his family, which he regarded as his proudest accomplishment. His love for his wife, Mrs. Betty Hagewood, who passed away on September 15, 2025 after 53 years of marriage, was profound, and their bond set a touching example for all.

A passionate outdoorsman, Johnny enjoyed fishing and had a special fondness for feeding the deer that roamed nearby. He was an ardent football fan, especially of the Tennessee Titans and Tennessee Volunteers, sharing countless memorable moments watching games with family. He also found joy in the simple pleasure of scratch-off tickets, often sharing smiles and laughter over small wins and losses.

Johnny leaves behind a loving family, including grandchildren Alyssa Hagewood, Maleigha Hagewood, and Ethan Hagewood. He was also survived by his nieces and nephews: Jimmy (Destiney) Cooper, Kenny Rogers, and Traci Lewis, along with his sister-in-law Shirley Rogers and brother-in-law Perry Rogers, and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
