Johnnie Mae Reynolds

Johnnie Mae Reynolds was born on January 27, 1931, on Boscobel Street in East Nashville.  She passed peacefully on December 15, 2023, in Goodlettsville.  Her unwavering love for her family and devotion to Christ defined her life.  While primarily a homemaker, she had various roles outside of the home and actively participated in her church and Gideon Auxiliary activities.  Her warm smile made everyone feel special, loved, and welcome.  Throughout her life, she generously gave her love, joy, and kindness to her family and friends.  She was a beautiful woman of faith, loved and respected by all who knew her.

Johnnie Mae leaves behind a legacy of touching lives, countless wonderful memories, and a family filled with love.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Major John W. Crowe and Bertie Ellington Hartgrove Crowe; the love of her life, her husband of 69 years, John Reynolds, Jr.; her son, John Reynolds III; her granddaughter, Christina Ann Keaton; and three sisters Bee, Tancie, and Betty.  She is survived by her daughters Bertie Jo (David) Whitaker and Josie Keaton Golden; grandchildren Amy (Gary) Allen, Keith (Mandy) Whitaker, and John (Ben) Keaton; great grandchildren Alicia (Jeremy) Aker, Ava Whitaker, and Ella Whitaker; great great grandchildren Lily Gammon, Josh Gammon, Justice Aker, Jacob Aker, and Joseph Aker; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 4 pm until 8 pm on Monday, December 18, at Cole & Garrett Funeral Home in Goodlettsville.  A Celebration of Johnnie's Life will be conducted at 11 am Tuesday, December 19, at the funeral home.  Her grandson John Keaton will officiate.
