John Richard Simon

John Richard Simon was born on June 2, 1955, in Erie, PA, to John and Theresa Simon. Overcoming childhood cancer and the loss of his father at 13, John developed a deep bond with his mother. After high school, he worked at K-Mart before earning a degree in accountancy and returning as an accountant for work in the company. His career later took him to Maryland, where he experienced a life-changing spiritual conversion, was baptized, and became a committed follower of Jesus Christ.

In the late 1990s, John met and married Jennifer Klett, his greatest love after Christ. They settled in Atlanta, but after a serious work accident in 2013 and a long recovery, John retired and moved with Jennifer to White House, TN. Jennifer’s passing in 2021 was a profound loss for John, but he found comfort in his faith and the support of his church community. John passed away on September 16, 2025, survived by his brother David and niece Tori.

All glory be to Jesus Christ, who was John’s hope and strength. He is the good and gracious Savior of sinners, who gives eternal life. Those who believe in him, though they die, yet shall they live.
