John Shivers

Preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Marian Shivers. He was a faithful and longtime member of Walkers United Methodist Church. Mr. Shivers enjoyed watching Vanderbilt Women's Basketball and worked at Genesco for a total of 47 years. He is survived by a daughter Pam (Frank) Oldham; grandchildren, Jacob, Britt, Katelyn Theel & Carter Oldham; great grandchild, Chloe Theel. Visitation with the family will be 4-7 p.m. Monday at Cole & Garrett Funeral Home, Goodlettsville. Funeral service will be 12 p.m. Tuesday at Walkers United Methodist Church. Visitation at the church will be 1 hour prior to the service. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Interment, Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
