John William Reynolds, Jr. age 87 of Millersville, passed away at his home on Tuesday, January 22, 2019.

He was born on December 9, 1931 to the late John W. and Josie Gober Reynolds. John loved the Lord and his family deeply. He was active in his church, The Gideons International and his community.

In addition to his parents, John is preceded in death by his son, John W. Reynolds, III and his granddaughter, Christina Ann Keaton.

He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Johnnie Mae Reynolds; daughters, Bertie Jo (David) Whitaker and Josie (Ron) Golden: grandchildren, Amy (Gary) Allen, Keith (Mandy) Whitaker and John Keaton; sisters, Mildred Carpenter and Marietta Hampton; three great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

A Life Celebration will be held on Friday, January 25, 2019 at 12:00pm in the chapel of Cold & Garrett Funeral Home with Rev. Daniel Shapley and Jim Mulholland officiating. Burial will follow at Spring Hill Cemetery in Madison with Keith Whitaker, John Keaton, Joe Vick, Van Vick, Ron Golden and Charlie Hudson serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 24th from 5-8pm then again on Friday from 11am until the time of service.
