Ron will be remembered as a teacher, an inspirational and influential presence, and a dynamic force in the lives of those who knew him. For over 30 years, he was the owner and operator of Moss Taekwondo School, in Goodlettsville, TN. He loved learning about history and approached life with curiosity, energy, and purpose. Those around him felt his steady encouragement, as he had a way of challenging people to grow and drawing out strengths they may not have seen in themselves.
Some of Ron’s happiest memories were made through travel, especially with his wife, Lori. Their love was one of his proudest accomplishments, and the bond they shared was immense and ever growing. Together they traveled around the world, including a honeymoon in Greece, roughing it in Mexico, South and Central America building a life marked by companionship and adventure. His friend Anthony remembered with special fondness their first road trip to California and his first time traveling out of the country, memories that speak to Ron’s enthusiasm for new experiences and the joy he found in sharing them with others.
Ron is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Lori Moss, whose life was deeply intertwined with his in love, travel, and partnership. He is also remembered by one of his lifelong friends Anthony Curtis, along with many other friends whom he considered family. The relationships he built extended far beyond acquaintance; they were lasting bonds shaped by loyalty, encouragement, and affection.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Florence Moss; his father, James Robert Moss; and his son, Ron Moss Jr. Their places in his life remained meaningful and enduring.
