Jimmy Lee Campbell, age 83, went to be home with the Lord on October 25th, 2025. He was born in Memphis, TN to the late Bill and Daisy Campbell on November 1st, 1941. He is preceded in death by his parents, and his brothers Billy Campbell and Wayne Campbell. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years Diane Campbell, his son Steve (Malissa) Campbell, and his daughter Michele Campbell. Jim also leaves behind his grandchildren Kelsey Campbell and Kasey (Jeffery) Bennett, as well as his brothers Larry and Allan Campbell. Jim also leaves behind his precious grand-dogs Blue and Rosie. Although he is gone, his memory will forever reside within the hearts and minds of those who held him dear.
A graduate of Messick High School, Class of 1960, Jimmy exemplified the qualities of a nurturing and friendly individual. He was known for his loving and caring personality, never meeting a stranger, and had a remarkable ability to bring joy to those around him with his humor and jokes.
Jimmy's professional journey commenced after he moved to middle Tennessee, where he secured a position at Dupont. His dedication led him to serve the Baptist Sunday School Board and later spend an impressive 30 years with Nashville Electric Service until his retirement. Throughout his career, he demonstrated a strong work ethic and commitment to his responsibilities.
His faith was central to his life; he was a devoted member of Madison Heights Baptist Church and Long Hollow Baptist Church. Spanning over 60 years between both churches, Jimmy served as a deacon and Sunday school teacher; sharing his strong Christian beliefs with others and inspiring many within the community. His commitment to attending services remained steadfast until he was no longer able.
In addition to his professional life and faith, Jimmy cherished the moments spent with his family. Jim’s family was one of his proudest accomplishments. He and his wife would create countless memories together. They would special trips together to Gatlinburg, Colorado, and many other beautiful destinations. In his free time, he enjoyed watching NASCAR and football, particularly cheering on the Vanderbilt Commodores and the Tennessee Titans. He delighted in working in his yard, keeping it neat and tidy. Please join us in celebrating the life of Mr. Jimmy Campbell: A visitation will be held in his honor on October 29, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Cole & Garrett Funeral Home and Cremation Services in White House, Tennessee. A funeral service will follow immediately at 12:00 PM, with a burial taking place at White House Memorial Gardens at 1:00 PM.
Jimmy Lee Campbell is remembered not only for his contributions to his family and community but also for the warmth he brought into the lives of all who knew him. His legacy of laughter, love, and faith will continue to inspire those he touched throughout his life.
