Jesse Dwight Walker, a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed on June 28, 2024, at his home in White House, Tennessee. Born March 6, 1945, in his hometown of Nashville, Tennessee, he was the son of the late William and Pauline Walker.


Jesse led a fulfilling life that revolved around his dedication to family and his commitment to service. After retiring from Sears following an impressive 30 years of service, Jesse continued to enrich the lives of those around him with his gentle and kind heart.


Not only was Jesse known for his strong work ethic during his time at Sears, but he also proudly served his country in the United States Navy. His sense of duty and patriotism were evident in all aspects of his life.


Among his many passions, Jesse found solace and joy in music. His love for playing the guitar resonated with all who knew him. In addition to music, Jesse enjoyed spending his leisure time golfing, showcasing a well-rounded personality that appreciated both creativity and the outdoors.


Described as quiet and laid back, Jesse's presence brought a sense of calm to those fortunate enough to be in his company. His warm smile and genuine nature will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.


Jesse leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion that will forever remain in the hearts of his surviving family members: his wife of 61 years, Janice Walker; daughter Tracy (Van) Parchman; and grandchildren Rachel (Matthew) Kelty, Christopher Hulse, Kyle Walker, and Bryson Entrikin.


In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Bradley Walker; siblings Lilburn "Bubba" Walker, Bobby Walker, Billy Walker, and Anita Duncan.


A Graveside Service to honor and remember Jesse Dwight Walker will be held on Thursday, July 11, 2024, at the Middle Tennessee State Veteran's Cemetery in Nashville. The service will begin at 11:00 AM followed by interment at 11:30 AM. Military graveside honors will be conducted by the United States Navy.


In honoring Jesse's memory, let us celebrate the life of a remarkable man who touched the lives of so many with kindness and grace. May he rest in peace knowing he was cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
