He was a caring husband, father, and grandfather. He was a carpenter and horseman. Jamie is preceded in death by his father, Frank Lassiter.

Jamie passed away at his home in Springfield, TN surrounded by his loving family.

Jamie grew up in Millersville, TN where he found his love for horses, carpentry work, and Ford Trucks. In June of 1988, Jamie married his high school sweetheart, Kelli. Jamie, Kelli, Colton, and Quint ended up on a farm in Springfield that they shared with Jamie's mother in law, Carol Dunivant. Jamie helped raise several goats, chickens, cows, and (his favorite) horses. When Jamie wasn't doing carpentry work, you could find him on the farm taking care of all the animals, riding fourwheelers, doing farm work on the tractors, or sitting on the couch watching Gunsmoke or the Rifleman. He quickly found a new best friend in his first grandson Grayson. He loved spending time and laughing with him.

Jamie was diagnosed with cancer in July 2017. He fought his hardest fight in his life, until God decided he needed another carpenter, and called him home December 19, 2017.

Visitation will be at Cole and Garrett Funeral Home White House on Saturday December 30 with visitation from 12 until celebration of life service at 2pm. Interment will follow at White House Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers Jamie asked that you make a donation to St. Jude.
