James Yount, Sr.

James Richard Yount, Sr. age 78, of Hendersonville, passed away Tuesday, June 21, 2011. Mr. Yount was born July 14, 1932 in OK to Richard Lee and Zoe Reynolds Yount. A proud Navy Veteran, Mr. Yount served during the Korean War from 1951 to 1953. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nadean Yount; his parents and two sisters, Dorothy Martin and Geraldine Phillips. Mr. Yount is survived by his sons, James Richard Yount, Jr. and Jason Ray Yount; brother, Floyd Yount and sister, Norma Lovett. A life celebration service will be conducted at 3 P.M., Saturday, June 25, 2011 from the Chapel of Hendersonville Funeral Home. Interment with military honors will follow in the Hendersonville Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 6 P.M. until 8 P.M., Friday, June 24 and from 2 P.M. to 2:45 P.M, Saturday at Hendersonville Funeral Home. Memorial contributions should be made to Sarah Cannon Cancer Center.
