James Tomlinson

James Ernest Tomlinson, September 29, 2014, age 94. Survived by his wife of 68 years, Willie Sue Tomlinson; daughters, Patricia Swift; Pam (Joe) Bean, Beverly (Hank Flanders) Tomlinson; grandchildren, Cary Swift, Barry Swift, Lindsay Bean, Brette Bean, Colton Bean; 3 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild. He served in the U.S. Army 753rd tank battalion as a medic during WWII, and received the Purple Heart and Bronze Star for his heroic actions. He retired from Genesco after 40 years of service. Visitation will be at Cole & Garrett Funeral Home, Goodlettsville Wednesday from 4-8 pm. Chapel service will be 1pm Thursday with visitation from 11 am until service time. Interment Ivy Point Church of Christ Cemetery.
