James Harold Knight, 75, of Cross Plains, passed away Sunday April 19, 2020 at Skyline Medical Center, Nashville. Born January 28, 1945 in Xenia, OH, he was the son of the late Cecil Leroy Knight and Lena Katherin (Lloyd) Knight. James retired from the CSX Railroad where he had worked for 30 years. When he wasn't hard at work he loved to be outside whether in his yard, gardening or riding his beloved tractor. He was a member of the Goodlettsville Pentecostal Church. James is survived by his wife of 47 years, Lynn (Ashby) Knight; his children, Michael Lee Knight, Mona (Kevin) Orange, and Paula (James) Brittle; 9 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held Thursday from 12 noon to 4 PM at Cole & Garrett Funeral Home, Goodlettsville. The family will have a private graveside service at Hendersonville Memory Gardens. A public memorial service will be held at a later date.
