Captain James Roy Brown, June 22, 2015, of Goodlettsville. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Betty Lou Brown; wife, Edna Cole Brown, and infant son, Roy Henderson Brown. Survived by his loving wife, Stephanie Margaret Brown; sons, James Paul (Angela) Brown; Robert (Lisa) Brown, William Brown, Andrew (Christie) Brown; step-daughters, Jeanne (Mark) Sluk, Christine (David) Giles; sixteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren; brother, Burrell (Phyllis) Brown. Captain Brown was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He served 23 years in the Nashville Metropolitan Police Department retiring as a Captain. He was an original member of the Metro Police Department's K-9 team. He was also a member of Portland Church of Christ. Visitation will be at Cole & Garrett Funeral Home, Goodlettsville Wednesday from 4-8pm, and Thursday from 10 am until service time at 11:30 am with Dr. William Ruhl, officiating. Interment Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
