James Patrick Boyle, a skilled mechanic of 41 years passed away on January 18, 2024.

He was born on August 28, 1974, in Nashville. His mechanical expertise and dedication to his craft left a lasting impact.

James was known for his great sense of humor, which brought joy and laughter to those around him. Although he could be stubborn at times, his laid-back demeanor allowed him to go with the flow and tackle any challenge that came his way. His work ethic and commitment to getting the job done right garnered him immense respect from colleagues and customers alike.

Outside of his profession, James had a variety of interests and hobbies. He enjoyed playing Texas Hold'em poker, collecting and restoring classic cars and Chevy/GMC vehicles, as well as indulging in the thrill of drag racing.

One of James' proudest accomplishments was being a loving father to his children and a dedicated uncle to many nieces and nephews. The relationships he built with them were filled with love, support, and countless cherished memories. His role as a father brought him tremendous joy, knowing that he had made a positive impact on the lives of his children, Christine (Kale) Budgeon, Emilie Boyle, and Christopher Boyle.

James was preceded in death by his father, Buford Boyle Sr., who undoubtedly instilled within him the values that shaped his character. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 14 years, Nicki Boyle, who stood by his side through thick and thin.

James is survived by his mother Gale Boyle; siblings Buford "Bubba" Boyle Jr. (Lori), Billie (Eric) Hardison, and Kimberly (Bill) Simmons.

The memory of James’s life and all that he accomplished will be celebrated during two events. The first, a visitation, will take place on January 27, 2024, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Cole & Garrett Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Goodlettsville, Tennessee. This visitation will provide an opportunity for friends, family, and acquaintances to pay their respects to James and support each other during this difficult time.

Following the visitation, a Celebration of Life ceremony will be held at the same location from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM. This gathering will honor James' remarkable journey through life and serve as a reminder of the impact he had on those fortunate enough to have known him.

James Patrick Boyle will forever hold a special place in the hearts of those whose lives he touched. His legacy as a skilled mechanic, devoted father, loving husband, loyal friend, and beloved family member is one that will continue to inspire and resonate for generations to come. While we mourn his loss deeply, we also celebrate the meaningful and passionate life he led and the life he gave through organ donation. May his soul rest in eternal peace.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Diabetes Association and Kidney Associations.

The family will be hosting a Celebration of Life party to honor James’ life in February. More details to follow at a later date.
