Ivy Bridges

Ivy L. Holt Bridges, January 8, 2014, age 85. She was preceded in death by her husband, Millard L. Bridges. Survived by her daughter, Helen (Larry) Garrett; sons, Millard C. Bridges, and Cecil L. Bridges, Sr; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren, god-daughter, Missy Downey Wolford; sister, Polly Reed; brothers, Dan Holt, and John Holt. She was a member of Hendersonville First United Methodist Church since 1948. Worked at Hendersonville Junior and Senior High Schools for over twenty years. She was a resident of Center Point Road since 1948. Visitation will be at Cole & Garrett Funeral Home, Goodlettsville Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8pm. Chapel service will be Friday at 12 Noon with Rev. Ben Alexander, officiating. Interment Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Active pallbearers: Charles Baird, Scott Cole, Mason Weber, Charlie Baird, Jr, Justin Ochs, Garrett Cole. Honorary pallbearers: Gray Fuller, James Deason, Willie Rice.
